At first, Dyad looked kind of 'meh' to us, but then we kept watching and finally began playing, and it's really addictive. It's not a game you'll really be able to play longer than a half hour without straining your eyes, but it is wildly fun.

Anytime a company thinks they can rest at E3 is the time that they need to be the most vigilant. Expand their lead and gain more market share, we say.

For Sony, we're thinking the Vita will be a massive part of it. It hasn't been a huge failure, and they're lucky that Nintendo had a few missteps with the 3DS as well, but I think there will be a lot of fantastic games coming out to make the console great. Games like LittleBigPlanet, Resistance: Burning Skies, BioShock, and Call of Duty will all be massive sellers. BioShock portable? Are you kidding me?

For Microsoft, we're thinking we'll see something unique in the same way we saw Sony unveil a TV at last year's presser. For Nintendo, eyes are all on Wii U as you said, but they'll need to pull a few tricks out of their hat, too, especially since we already know about Mario and Pikmin. Zelda anyone?

In a nutshell: I don't think we will see a new console from Sony. I don't think they will focus on the Vita either: It isn't doing well and I don't think they understand why or know how to fix it. I'm expecting it to be like last year: Very heavy on 3D and other new technologies, in other words, the other aspects of Sony's business that they whore the Playstation name out to try to protect.

Nintendo: Smash just started, we won't see anything. Not even concept art. This year seems to be Nintendo's to prove to win or lose, and all eyes are on the Wii U.

Microsoft: I, for reasons I can't explain, have a feeling Microsoft is going to pull something really out of nowhere in an awesome and surprising way. A handheld? Not sure. They are going to push Kinect a lot, sure, and they have Halo, but I'm betting something else. Kinect is doing so well for them they can rest a little bit this E3, but that also gives them the most opportunity to shock and awe.

Don't get us wrong - we love Zelda. LOVE IT. You've read our reviews and that much is clear. We'd love to see another Majora's Mask, and even more to see a new entry in the portable Zelda series, especially if it's got the beautiful graphics from the OoT 3D game. With that said, we just don't think it will happen this year, and that's okay. Distance makes the heart grow fonder.

I hope they announce Majora's Mask 3D this year! And I wouldn't be too sure that we won't see a trailer for a new 3DS Zelda, rumor has it one is in development and much further along than you might think...

I also just realized that this means, with tethering, which Rogers allows, it would be better to get rid of your home cable connection and use the iPad as your router. You'll only get 5GB out of it though, so you'll need to use it sparingly, but it's pretty incredible that this tablet can do more and faster with such miniature technologies.

I'm not so sure. The design is certainly similar, if not identical. But looking at the specs: retina display and 4G LTE which stand out the most, it's pretty incredible. The retina display is the one thing hold me back personally from the iPad 2, and why I've been waiting for this one. 4G LTE is a MASSIVE jump in speed. Put it this way: a high-average speed of Rogers cable internet is about 25Mbps, and it's more than what most people have. But 4G LTE is capable of 71Mbps. You'll probably only see about 50-60 Mbps on a normal day, but that's still well over double what you'll get at home. And this is anywhere. Amazing.

Without a doubt, Rogers is going to be the LTE provider to beat. Victoria will soon get the LTE treatment, I'm sure, given that it is the capital of BC and a large city at that.

Any Canadian carrier will be compatible with AT&T in the US and 3G abroad.

We're also very lucky that LTE adoption here has been slower than in the US, and with fewer people and better networks, out LTE service is almost certain to be better than average.

Any thoughts on which iPad LTE will work best in Canada. I'm in Victoria so don't even have an LTE available yet but probably later in 2012. Does each Canadian carrier have their own iPad offering, or if I start of with a Bell SIM and use their LTE network can I simply buy a Rogers plan later on and use their SIM with the same iPad?I also travel to the US a lot and wonder if any of the Canadian carriers use the same technology/bandwidth as ATT or Verizon.

Oh, Mac laptops will undoubtedly have hard drives until constant wireless connections are so commonplace, you won't need one. But give that at least five years before we start seeing the first versions of those laptops.
I do think Apple will be one of the first companies to include 4G LTE connections in their laptops. It's the natural progression and we might even see it this year baked right into Mountain Lion.

As long as people don't start saying the next iPhone will be iPhone 4LTE I'll be happy. Those are the type of people I want to punch lol... I think personally that even though apple wants to store "everything in the cloud"..I like my hard drives in my laptops..I got a macbook pro and I don't think I could see myself with an "air". However with more and more features being put into cloud streaming it will certainly push people in that direction..maybe even myself in the future..haha.. The apple TV to me was blah...it's nice but not something I am overly excited about.

Nice article Chris. Yes this "new iPad" will certainly rock people's socks off...You're right about Tim taking a back sit. Phil has more of a better presentation style to him. I don't think Tim has found his "style" as yet..know what I mean? He can never repeat Steve's style so he needs to figure out his own..

The graphics are certainly better than Reach, and they're even more certainly not sub-HD. For one thing, the screenshots I've taken above were from the trailer video while in motion, so they will look a bit jagged. Second, this is pre-beta material. Might even be pre-alpha, so the game has a long way to come in terms of polish and fit and finish.

I agree, make some new consoles, but I don't think it'll be of much use if there aren't great games for it, which is why the Wii U looks fantastic, and why this running on the next Xbox would be a Godsend. Just don't expect it to happen.

I preferred Skyward Sword more than Ocarina of Time, by just a smudge, hence why it is only one spot above. In any case, this list is games that I had the most fun with as a kid, the ones that bring me the most memories, and have the best stories, in my opinion.

Interesting choice of a top 10 but Skyward ahead of Ocarina?? And Jet Set Radio Future!? even cracking the top 10? That game couldn't have even made top 50 on my list... Here is my top 10 games (based off of games I played, so not including any Playstation games):
